The 91av Book Club has been reading Kim Stanley Robinson’s classic sci-fi novel Red Mars, about the first 100 astronauts to settle on the Red Planet. Robinson chatted to 91av head of books Alison Flood about the novel, casting his mind back to when he wrote it, more than 30 years ago, as well as revealing his hopes that stories can help shift the dial on climate change – and what he really thinks about current plans to colonise Mars.
