Letter: Naked truth

I, too, have fallen victim to motion-sensing lighting
(Feedback, 3 April).

After an enjoyable day out in Snowdonia, my unit returned to the Army’s
adventure training camp at Capel Curig. Being a bit more tired than the younger
members, I was the last in the ablutions block. You guessed it—once I was
in the showers, the lights went out. With my eyes full of soapy water, I
stumbled about naked trying to break the sensor beams and turn on the lights.
Having noticed the sensors were high on the wall, I started jumping and waving
my arms.

Then I realised what sort of picture would greet anyone entering the
block—and decided I would rather shower in the dark…
