Casio of Japan previewed the world’s first wristwatch-style camera at last week’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Weighing just 32 grams, the WQV-1 can take black and white pictures through a tiny lens on one side and store up to 100 of them. The pictures can be displayed on a small LCD on the watch face or transferred to a PC for viewing. They can then be wiped so the camera can be reused. The camera will be complemented by the WMP-1V, a wristwatch that can play MP3-format music files—storing 33 minutes of high-quality sound.
