The troubled International Space Station continues to be plagued by delays.
Assembly will probably fall even further behind because of problems with the
space shuttles. The next American mission to the ISS, originally scheduled for
early December, will be held up because the shuttles need to be refitted to stop
short circuits like the one that struck Columbia in July. According to NASA
spokeswoman Kirsten Williams, the mission will not take off until late January.
Software problems are likely to delay flights to the ISS in the future.
