Microsoft and Panasonic owner Matsushita have agreed to jointly develop
digital products for the home. Last week’s deal covers digital interactive TVs,
advanced cable decoders and Web TV browsers. Matsushita gets to use Microsoft’s
Windows CE in future portable products. Microsoft chief Bill Gates says the move
will result in “intelligent, integrated and easy-to-use consumer devices”.
