Flexible identification tags, which could be used for keeping track of
criminals, are being developed by Philips Research of Eindhoven in the
Netherlands. The plastic tags have radio transponders built into light-sensitive
polyamide foil. Circuits can be etched onto the foil with ultraviolet light.
Philips says the resulting tags are flexible and still work when folded in
half.
