An edible antifreeze has been developed by the NASA Ames Research Center in
California. The green fluid, which can be painted onto aircraft, bridges or cars
to make it easier to scrape off any ice, contains only ingredients approved by
the US Food and Drug Administration for use in food. It is completely
biodegradable.
