The mass of X-Files books in existence amounts to something of an
unexplained mystery in itself. X-Files Confidential by Ted Edwards (Little,
Brown, £9.99, ISBN 0 316 88181 3) is possibly the best, with a complete
episode list, in-depth discussion of the making of each episode, a run-down of
each season’s progress, an “X-phile” encyclopaedia, which seems quite
complete—and the British play dates.
