UNIVERSITIES complain constantly that the best students are not attracted to
science. Well, the University of Adelaide is using modern technology to try to
redress the situation. It has produced likeScience, a CD-ROM explaining
the virtues of a career in science—especially one which begins at
Adelaide. Copies are being sent free to all secondary schools in South
Australia. The CD-ROM can be obtained from Pat James, Faculty of Science,
the University of Adelaide, Adelaide, South Australia 5005.
