If you have a computer already and you haven’t spent the past six months icebound in Antarctica, then you’ll already know more than you want to about Windows 95. Should it go into your Xmas stocking? Not unless you hope for a very large stocking and are expecting a new computer with it already loaded. That way you avoid most of the installation hassles that are Windows 95’s chief drawback. Don’t forget that 8Mb of RAM in your PC is a practical minimum – 12Mb is recommended and the 4Mb Micrasoft claims is usable is just ridiculous. And shop around for a good price.
