Old oil drums will be one of the more traditional musical instruments at
London鈥檚 Notting Hill Carnival this weekend. But Deborah and Timothy Sadler are
trying to patent a new use for old oil drums鈥攖his time as trendy kitchen
furniture (GB 2356802). They cut oval openings in the sides of a drum to create
storage space, fix a wooden chopping board to the top and put castors on the
bottom, so the whole thing is mobile. 鈥淔urniture embodying the invention has a
striking, unusual appearance,鈥� say the Sadlers of their 鈥渒itchen island
