inventor in Sweden who spent nearly nine years steering his patent for a
see-through refrigerator past the Japanese Patent Office (JP2032200) is
celebrating with a translation on the Internet

Bruce Lambert’s fridge has a two-way mirror
for a door. When the inside is dark, it acts as an ordinary mirror that,
according to Lambert, increases the feeling of space in the kitchen and
“encourages dieting”. When the light inside the fridge is switched on, the door
becomes transparent, letting you see the contents without wasting cooling
power.
