Coating walls with a transparent layer of silicone resin could be the answer
to graffiti, says the Sho-Bond Corporation of Tokyo. Special primers bind the
silicone firmly to the underlying surface, but substances such as paint bind to
it only weakly. If vandals strike, acrylic resin is spread over the silicone.
When it’s dry, the acrylic resin layer can be peeled off, taking the graffiti
with it and leaving the silicone coating clean (GB 2 330 781).
